Privacy Policy

SlouchGoblin ("we", "us", "our") is the developer and publisher of the SlouchGoblin macOS application and this website. References to "SlouchGoblin" in this policy refer to both.

2.1 Camera data

SlouchGoblin accesses your device camera to run real-time pose and face landmark detection. No camera frames, images, or video are stored anywhere. Processing occurs in memory and each frame is discarded immediately after analysis. No camera data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

2.2 Session statistics

In the Pro and Team plans, session statistics (posture scores, blink rates, session duration) are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your machine unless you explicitly export it.

2.3 Anonymised analytics (optional)

With your consent, we collect anonymised, aggregated product analytics such as feature usage frequency and crash reports. This data contains no personally identifiable information and no biometric or camera data. You can opt out at any time from Settings → Privacy.

2.4 Account information (paid plans)

If you purchase a paid plan, we collect your email address and payment information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we do not store your card details. We retain your email to manage your subscription and provide support.

2.5 Website analytics

This website uses privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting) to understand general traffic patterns. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or advertising networks.

• To send product updates and security notices (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles about you.

Session statistics stored locally on your device are protected by macOS's standard application sandboxing. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit. Account data is stored in SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure.

Because most data never leaves your device, there is very little for us to secure on our end — and we prefer it that way.

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Google MediaPipe — AI model libraries, loaded from CDN on first launch and then cached locally

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or social media tracking SDKs.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to processing of your data
• Request data portability
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@slouchgoblin.com. We will respond within 30 days.

SlouchGoblin is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We retain account data for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation. Anonymised analytics data is retained for 24 months in aggregate form. You may request immediate deletion at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
